Sovetskaya Street is one of the main and busiest arteries of Mozyr, stretching picturesquely along the Pripyat River. Its history goes back to the past: the section from Primostovaya Square to Gorky Square was formerly called Kievskaya Embankment, as merchants used to ship goods from here to Kyiv. In the 1920s, part of modern-day Sovetskaya Street bore the names of revolutionaries Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht. Today, it is not only a transport route but also a place with developed infrastructure: shops, pharmacies, the central city clinic, and a rescue station are located here. Among the architectural landmarks, the unusual St. Nicholas Church (building 154) stands out, built in the constructivist style and converted from a Soviet administrative building in the 1990s. The street attracts both residents and city guests with its avenues and opportunities for outdoor recreation.
